Computer is so easy to beat

The game is just excellent, but the computer is just so easy beat that the game looses all its funny

I hope you have played the game.

Lucky for me I have as I own it, because if I didnt I would be lost as you never see the actual board! That was kinda weird. As well the constant reminders of what to do were bothersome - though I do hope to be able to turn those off in the options. As well you dont know what you win or lose in the winter fight. The AI seemed kinda weak as well. All and all a good game and a good starting point for the game. I look forward to the expansion in the future, as well as playing it again and again for some time to come.

Great start!

I really enjoy this game, some suggestions: - Separate SoundFx & Music toggle - Always able to see your resources without going to new screen - Wifi/Bluetooth multiplayer - Quicker Animations on dice rolls - AI could be better Looking forward to expansion.

Very good Start but where is the board.

Game is very good and fast paced but not beign able to see the board really take most of the charm found in the source material. For the rest I just cant stop from playing.

Very poor design choices

This game looks nice, but the design choices make it almost completely unplayable for a person unfamiliar with the game. This game was designed so that there is only ever one real piece of information on the screen at a time and you have to randomly click around on icons to find information that should be more easily at hand. Playing this game is very tedious. The two most frustrating things to me were the lack of a board/person overview, and the way the buildings are displayed. A major part of Kinsburg is to consider the influence choices that both you and your opponents have before playing your dice. Without a screen that shows all the people and rolled dice at once, trying to consider the potential choices of your opponents is insanely tedious. As for the buildings. When trying to look at the individual buildings, you are forced to click a button to be reminded/find out the buildings special power where there is clearly enough room on the screen that displays the other building information. Again, the poor design decisions have made this quick boardgame a very tedious iphone app to use.

Needs Improvement

One of my favorite board games. However the AI is horrible making the game too easy to beat. Its hard to get used to not being able to see the board but I suppose that was due to screen limitations on an iPhone. Would love to be able to listen to my tunes while Im playing. Hoping to see some updates to fix these issues. If done properly this game would be great!

LOVE the game! Well done!!

Ive been wanting to buy the board game for a while so was excited to see this port for the iPhone. Ive never played the game before but was able to learn and play this very quickly. The complete rules and in-game hints and explanations were very helpful. Ive now played it 10 times through and am LOVING it! Keep up the great work!

last update crash

The game crash all the time with the new update, cant play anymore, thanks..

Still not working 2 weeks after last crash report

Just bought it thinking it would have been patched by now. Still crashes on load. Fix it please or give me my money back

Doesnt work

It doesnt work, crashes 1/3 of the way into the load screen at the beginning.

Fun game but need some new features

This is a great board game but it really need multiplayer asynchronous play.

Current release crashes

Id like to review this game but have yet to get past the startup screens. App crashes when the status bar is about 1/3 full. Im running the latest iOS but on an older iPod Touch.

Avoid until its updated

I bought this despite the bad reviews here and on Board Game Geek, and should have heeded their warnings. I play a lot of iOS board games, and this is about as bad as it gets. Very poor graphics (even on iPhone), interfaces (doesnt even show the whole game board with the advisors), and not compatible with iPad 3. Has potential to be a great app, but badly needs an update to graphics, screen navigation, whole board display, and iPad 3 support, as it seems crazy I cant play it on there. Please please update soon.

Update!

Love this game, I play it a lot on my iPad. However this game needs some serious work! A return to a full screen would be a good start as well as some crash issues and perhaps making it more iPad friendly? I would buy any expansions for this as well.

Not worth it!

I play a lot of iOS board games and this has got to be the worst translation of a board game ever. If you dont already know how to play its going to be incredibly confusing. Terrible player interface and it freezes/crashes frequently. Why oh why did I not listen to the review out there?!

Great!

A great implementation of a great game.

Bags

Bags in combat calculations and crash on bot turn sometimes. Fix it please. Only 3 stars.

Great fun!

An absolute *must* for all turn-based strategy nerds who enjoy something that isnt too overwhelming. The game is relaxing and casual, but engaging at the same time, with unique and interesting gameplay mechanics. One thing that would be nice is harder AI. After reading about this game and how confusing it would be at first, I proceeded to win my first three games ever, unlocking all the "locked" stuff in approximately no time at all.

I love this game but. . . .

The issue I am having is that there is something wrong with the graphics. Little chunks seem to be missing in some places. I cant see the dice rolls of one of the players and some of the hints are unreadable because of this. Makes it hard to learn the game. Had I not know how to play Kingsburg before, I would have given up. Please fix it!!

Good Game; Bad Implementation

Unfortunately, this implementation of the fine Kingsburg board game is pretty painful to play. The display has been straightjacketed so that you constantly have to flip between three different screens, at least one of which (the display of your core resources & score) shouldnt have been necessary. Even with all that, youre missing some of the most vital info: what the overall array of roles looks like and whos selected what with which dice. Besides that the game plays very slowly as it shows you everything that happens in excruciating detail. Its very easy to make mistakes as youre constantly encouraged to hit the "next" button, but in a few places (e.g., building a building) thats not the right thing to do. Dice are poorly animated. Finally, as many others have commented, display is bad on iPad.
